Funeral services for Henry C Werling, 91, of the Harper Road, will be at 2 pm Saturday at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Gar Creek, Rev Albert Schlegel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr Werling, a lifelong resident of the New Haven and Woodburn area, died yesterday morning in the Lutheran Hospital where he had been a patient two days.

A retired farmer, Mr Werling was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church at Gar Creek.

Surviving are six sons,Arthur,Fort Wayne,Paul, Elmer and Walter,all of New Haven, Henry, St Paul, Minn, and Reinhold, Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs William Rodenbeck, Fort Wayne and Miss Elda Werling, Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs Mathilda Hannefeld, New Haven; 30 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Rodenbeck-Hockemeyer Funeral Home from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm today and Friday and until 10 am Saturday when the body will be taken to the church. Friends may call at the churck until the time of services. Fort Wayne Journal Gazette - January 2, 1964
