Alphones Louis Bieker

Alphones Louis Bieker, 83, a resident of Chehalis, died Monday, June 7.
Born Dec. 29, 1909, at Schoenchen, Kan., he moved to the area in 1932, after his marriage to Katheryn Thummel. They had two daughters. His wife died in September of 1933.
In 1937, he met Meta Mae Jones of Toledo while she was working at Thompson's Feed Store. He was working at John West Grocery Store around the corner. They were married in June of 1938.
They have seven surviving children; 33 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Tony and Clem; by a sister, Veronica; and by a grandson, Steven Meyn.
Also, surviving are three brothers and two sisters.
Bieker managed Perry Brothers Poultry for more than 30 years, and was involved in Knights of Columbus and the Chehalis Rotary Club, where he ws Father of the Year in 1957.
He was active in his church, loved to garden and fish, coached Babe Ruth baseball, and enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
