Karl Rodick was a professional vocalist and used "Charles Curtis" as his stage name."Carl Rodick, 53, New York, died Tuesday at a hospital in New York. He was born in Barnes, Kas., and lived in Kansas City several years before moving to New York for a singing career. Mr. Rodick was a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and sang professionally under the name of Charles Curtis. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Claire Rodick, and two daughters, Miss Carol Rodick and Miss Lynn Rodick, all of the home; his father, H. F. Rodick of Sedalia, Mo.; five sisters, Mrs. Agnes Bass of Fort Collins, Colo., Mrs. Alice Wolffgang of Topeka, Mrs. Neilya Neighbors of Torrance, Calif., Mrs. Gladys Swenson and Mrs. Betty Tate, both of Kansas City; and six brothers, Henry Rodick of Cleveland, Vernon Rodick of Sedalia, Raymond Rodick of Leawood, Fred Rodick of Hawthorne, Calif., Robert Rodick of San Francisco, and Richard Rodick of Kansas City. Services will be Friday in New York. Graveside services will be Sunday in Lincoln, Neb." The Kansas City Star, July 2, 1965
