Al C. Feldman
Services for Al C. Feldman, 84, of 2470 Crissy Drive, will be at 1 pm Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 pm Tuesday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where the parish wake service will be said at 8 pm.
Mr. Feldman, who was born at Dyersville, Iowa, died at 7 pm Sunday, March 15, 1987, at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center. He owned and operated Feldman Motor Co. for many years and last served as assistant city of Dubuque assessor until he retired. He was an active member of St. Patrick's Parish, where he was chief usher for many years and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a longtime member of the United Commercial Travelers Association, of which he was a past counselor for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Hayes, June 13, 1982, and a brother, L.J. "Lee," also on March 15.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. William (Ruth) Burdt and Mrs. John (Donna) Freund, both of Dubuque, Mary Kay and Mrs. Helen Miller, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sister Nancy, BVM of Chicago; a son, William R. of Dubuque; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Gibbs of Loveland, Colo., and Mrs. Martha Farni of Dubuque.
An Al C. Feldman Memorial Fund has been established.
