Hans Kroll Rites Held on Monday
Hans Emil Kroll, 73, died Friday, July 27 at the home of his brother in rural Janesville.
He was born in Germany, April 29, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kroll, and later came to America in 1905, settling in Iowa. He moved to Waldorf in 1918 and has farmed with his brother Carl for 40 years.
Surviving brothers are Ferdinand, Pemberton; Henry, Sioux City, Iowa; Carl, Janesville and Claus, Salem City, Ore.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 30 at the Freedom Lutheran Church, rural Janesville, with the Rev. Carl Cloeter officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.
Arnoldt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Wayne Pestka, Glen Pestka, Bernard Kroll, Harold Stavenau, Lawrence Pearson and Art Schweim.
