Walter Thomas Manning was born June 15, 1914 to Silas & Stella Welch Manning in Maquoketa. He married Stella Latham September 12, 1935 Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death on January 3l, 1961. He married Betty Gross March 12, 1967, in Rock Island, Illinois. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, 3 daughters, Mrs Don (June) Roling, Ottumwa, Iowa, Mrs James ( Linda) Ralston, Monmouth, & Stacy Manning, at home, a son, Marvin Manning, Ringgold, Georgia, 2 step-daughters, 5 step-sons, 19 grandchildren, & 8 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mrs Ralph (Thelma) Niles, Michigan, Mrs Ray (Maxine) Sherman, Maquoketa, Mrs Mildred (Marvin) Pickens, of California, 2 brothers, Robert of Maquoketa & Ernest of Delmar. Mr Manning was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, a son & a daughter, (twins), a sister & 3 brothers.
