William Koeppen, 72, of Newton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Koeppen of Meeme, died Tuesday night at St. Nicholaus hospital, Sheboygan, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Redeemer Lutheran church, the Rev. Valentine Mack officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery in Liberty.
He was born in Meeme in 1878 and married Miss Augusta Leider in this city. They operated the Three Oaks resort at Post Lake, Wis., for a number of years. Mrs.Koeppen died in 1836.
Survivors are a son, Edwin of Sheboygan; daughter, Rose Marie of Stevens Point; brother, Christian of Meeme; and a grandchild.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home after Friday noon. The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m Saturday.
