Adam Meininger, 86, Fort Morgan, died Feb 9, 1991, in Valley View Villa, Fort Morgan.
He was born May 3, 1904, to Alexander and Mary Meininger in Kolb, Russia. He married Hattie Trupp on Feb 13, 1923, in Fort Morgan. She died March 15, 1982.
He came with his parents to Morgan county in 1913. He attended Fort Morgan schools and farmed with his father until his father died in 1939. He farmed on his own until the late 1940s. He worked for several Fort Morgan area businesses until he retired in 1981. He was a member of the Christ Congregational Church.
He is survived by two sons, Harvey Meininger, Wray, and Raymond Meininger, Grand Junction; two daughters, Ellen Ott, Grand Junction, and Louise Schilling, Loveland; one brother; four sisters; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son.
Services were Monday at the Christ Congregational Church with the Rev. Kenneth Redfearn officiating.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Fort Morgan.
