The Anthon Herald, 27 February 1963, page 1: Funeral services were held Saturday forenoon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon for Mrs. Mary Rose Weathers, 70, who died Thursday at her farm home 5 ½ miles west of Anthon. Rev. A.M. Conlon officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery with Walter Funeral Home of Anthon in charge. Mrs. Weathers was born August 21, 1892, near Anthon, the daughter of Jeffrey and Katherine Curtin. She married Ray Weathers February 7, 1923, at Anthon. They lived their entire married life in the Anthon community, observing their 40th wedding anniversary earlier this month, when their children were all at home. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Anthon. Survivors include the widower; one daughter, Mrs. Walter Huber of Fremont, Nebraska; two sons, Brother Boniface of St. John's Seminary at Elkhorn, Nebraska; and Francis of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters, Sister Mary Isabel of Clinton; and Mrs. John Brady of Marcus; four brothers, Raphael, Jeffrey, Daniel and Matthew Curtin, all of Anthon; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents and two brothers.
