Services for Alvin E. Reiter, 77 of rural Henderson, who died Friday November 17, 1989 at the Arlington Municipal Hospital, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 20 at St.Paul's
United Church of Christ in Henderson, Rev. Judith Hambleton, officiated. Interment was in the Brown Cemtery.
Mr. Reiter was born in Henderson Township, Sibley County September 8, 1912 to Alber and the former Mathilda (Rohloff). He attednded grade school at Henderson and farmed all of his working life in Henderson Township. He married Ruth Wigand on Nov. 16, 1938 in Henderson. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and had served on the church council.
He is survived by his his wife Ruth, one son Robert and his wife Carol, of Henderson, one daughter Ruth Ann and her husband Wilbert Buck of Aelington, five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Casketbearers were Jody Reiter, Janet Reiter, David Buck, Daniel Buck, Darrin Buck, Larry Wigand and Allen Kewitsch.
