Rose Vaske

DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- Mrs. Rose Vaske, 90, of Dyersville died Sunday, March 5, 1989, at Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville.

Services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 pm Tuesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where the parish wake service will be said at 8 pm.

Mrs. Vaske was a homemaker.

She was born April 25, 1898, at New Vienna, daughter of Henry and Anna (Kuhlman) Froning. She married John Vaske Jan. 8, 1923, at New Vienna; he died in 1978.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Herb (Mae) Kramer of Farley, Mrs. Orland (LuAnn) Manternach of Cascade and Mrs. Patrick (Carol) Gehl of Fillmore; two sons, J. James of Dubuque and Don of Bankston; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Krapfl of Manchester and Josephine Cunningham of LaCrosse.
