Funeral services were held Sunday from the Lutheran church at Milberger for Mrs. Phillip Funk of the Winterset community, Russell Co. who died at the Baker Hospital in LaCrosse on Friday (June 25, 1948). The Rev. C. Landdeck officiated. Burial was in the Milberger Cem. Mrs. Funk, formerly Pauline Wagner, was born Aug. 31, 1893, at Olmitz. She is survived by her husband and the following seven children: Emanuel, Reuben, Herbert, Sigmund, and Amelia Funk; Mrs. Fred Scheuerman; and Mrs. Freda Meier.

The two youngest daughters of Pauline Funk were Frieda (Mrs. Orland Scheuerman) and Hilda (Mrs. Elmer Maier). Frieda is my mother. Hilda, Rueben, Herbert, Sigmund, and Amelia are all buried at Galatia, KS in Fairview Cemetery.
