He lived here since 1958, moving from rural Otis, a farmer, was a member of First Lutheran Chuch, Lacrosse, US Army veteran WW II. He married Emma CARTEMAN at Milberger on February 7, 1950.
She survives. Other survivors are: son, James L. Funk, sisters: Frieda Scheuerman, LaCrosse; Hilda Maier, Russell; 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers: Emanuel Rubin, Sieg Funk, sisters: Amelia, Wilma Funk.
