Spinal Meningitis Takes Infant Girl
The Henry Harpenau family north of town has the sympathy of friends over the loss of an infant daughter and sister, Jeanette, who passed away at the family home Saturday morning with spinal meningitis. The infant was one year and 12 days old and had been sick but three weeks.
Funeral services were in St. Mary's Catholic Church Monday morning, and interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were Martha Nilles, Lucille Nilles, Etheline Gengler, and Rita Mary Staab.
Besides the grief-laden parents, the infant also is survived by a brother and two sisters: Clarence, 5; Cloette, 4; and Jo Ann, two years old.
