James Sullivan Werner, the 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Werner, passed away at Memorial hospital last Thursday (June 29, 1944). He had been in failing health for the last five years. He was born at the Douglas hospital on May 1, 1928. He attended the Douglas schools when his health permitted. Jimmy is survived by his parents; three sisters, Mary Werner, Mrs. Margaret Runnion and Edna Werner; two brothers, Justin, with the army at Fort Wayne, Indiana and John; two nieces, a nephew and several aunts and uncles. Another brother, William, lost his life by lightning on June 12, 1923.
