Eileen was a secretary for Bendix in Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement. She was of the Catholic faith.

Besides her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her two sisters, Henrietta Surber and Katherine Maymett.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Jack Lane of the home; a son Alan Lane and wife, Sue, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; three sisters, Armella Janose, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Ethelreda Thomas, Kansas City, Missouri, Zita Whitlock, Lee's Summit, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor or to the Alzheimers Association.
