Armella E. Janose, 90, of Independence, Mo passed away September 4, 2012. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, September 8 at St. Anthony's Church, 318 Benton Blvd, KCMO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment will be at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum at 11:45.

Armella was born March 5,1922, the daughter of Henry and Catherine (Weber) Stegeman, in Onaga, KS. Armella moved to Kansas City in 1944 and while working for The Quartermaster Depot in Kansas City,during World War II, she met her future husband, Joseph Janose. She was a home maker, and volunteer at the church and school then went to work as a stock broker bookkeeper. Armella was a member of St. Anthony's parish for over 45 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Janose, sisters, Katharine Mynatt, Eileen Lane and Henrietta Surber and son-in-law Kenneth Meineka. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Meineka and Mary Jo Janose; granddaughters, Suzanne Asjes and husband (Robert), Sharon Meineka; and Rachel Janose; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Katie Asjes; and sisters, Ethelreda Thomas and Zita Whitlock.
