Many times during the latter years of her life she recounted the changes that have been brought about in this locality, among which wee the change from the plank roads to state highways, from a wollen mill on the Hudson River to the present plant of the I. P. Co., from the Corinth of few houses to the thriving village that it now is.
She was able to recall vividly the times when a toll gate was operated near the present James Gill farm on the Corinth-Luzerne road, and when a thriving boat factory was operated at South Corinth.
Mrs. Ide, whose home is located just a short distance from Main street on Sherman avenue … she enjoyed short auto rides with her son and grandchildren. She enjoyed good health up to ten days ago and daily read her newspaper without glasses up to that time.
