Word was received last week of the serious illness of John Westendorf of Oregon, Ill, and Mrs Barney Pruemer, Mrs Wm Dust and Jos Westendorf, sisters and brother left last week Tuesday to be at his bedside. Mr Westendorf died Friday, April 17th. He was about seventy-five years of age. Funeral and burial took place in oregon.

Mr Westendorf is survived by his second wife, three daughters and one son by a former marriage namely Mrs John (Tillie) Ludwig; Mrs C C (Laura) Meiers; Mrs George (Clara) Riesenback and Victor Westendorf, Five brothers and three sisters also survive: George, Barney, Frank, Jos and Herman Westendorf; Mrs Wm Deters, Mrs Barney Pruemer and Mrs John Verdeyen.
