Mrs. Catherine Brendel

Mrs. Catherine Brendel, 90, formerly of 1319 S. 12th St., died Friday afternoon at Heritage Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for four and a half years.

The former Catherine Zimmermann was born Feb. 2, 1894, at Hilbert, daughter of the late Conrad and Susan Jaeckel Zimmermann. She attended schools at Hilbert.

On June 21, 1913, she married Walter Brendel at Howards Grove. He died in 1966.

Mrs. Brendel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, and its Ladies Aid Society.

Survivors are five sons, Ervin, Menominee, Mich, Harold, Roland, Willard and Walter Jr., all of Sheboygan, two daughters, Mrs. Arno (Verona) Prange and Mrs. Anthony (Marian) Champeau, both of Sheboygan, 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Irene Piantek, Green Bay.

Mrs. Brendel was preceded in death by two daughters and a son.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, with the Rev. Darrel Bergelin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home after 4:30 p.m. Monday and at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
