Marian S. Champeau

Marian S. Champeau age 75, formerly of 1319 South 12th Street, Sheboygan, died at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center, on Sunday evening, April 30, 2000.

Marian was born on May 7, 1924, in Howards Grove, a daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (Zimmermann) Brendel Sr. She attended local schools.

On May 7, 1946, she married Anthony G. Champeau in Charleston, Ill. He preceded her in death in Feb. 27, 1991.

For many years Marian was employed at WigWam Mills in Sheboygan, retiring in 1990, Her family will remember her for her love of quilting, crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking apple pies and pastries.

Survivors include a son Anthony W. (Yong) Champeau of Aurora, Colo., a daughter, Beverly (Art) Schoerner of Sheboygan; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Irvin and Willard (Helen)Brendel of Sheboygan, a sister, Verona Prange of Sheboygan; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends; and two special friends, Diane Roob and Pat Elso. Marian was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

A funeral service will be held for Marian on Thursday, May 4, 2000 at 4 p.m. at the Ramm-Ziegler-Novak-Rettke Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. Entombment of Marian's cremains will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 1535 South 12th Street, on Thursday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in Marian's name.
