She was born Nov. 22, 1900 in Russell County, the daughter of Adam and Katherine Schwann Ebel. On May 2, 1920, she married Benjamin REIN at Otis, he died July 18, 1973. Survivors include: a son Frank, Russell; two daughters Isabel Wisdom, Wichita; Cleo Landon, Littleton, C0; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

"To Observe Golden Wedding" anniversary at the Trinity Methodist Church....Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rein, 230 W. 5th, were married May 2, 1920, in the Otis Methodist Church. Mrs. Rein was the former Emilie Ebel, daughter of Mr. and Mr. Adam Ebel; Ben is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rein, Sr. The Reins lived on the family farm, five miles south and
one mile east of Russell until moving to Russell in 1937. They remain active in farming. Ben is a former Russell mayor, councilman, past pres. of Rotary Club, active in church and civic affairs. "There wasn't a minister at the Ebenezer Methodist Church and we knew Rev. Kracher (at Otis) and had friends in Otis, so we went down there and were married at about 4:30.....and returned to Russell
County the same afternoon and set up housekeeping in the farm home that was to be their residence for 18 years.". The Ebenezer Church which was near the Smokey Hill River south of Russell, was closed years ago.............children
are: Mrs. Isabel Wisdom, wife of Dr. J.K. Wisdom, Wichita; Mrs. W.D. Landon (Cleo), Littleton, CO; and Frank Rein, 209 E. 2nd St., Russell.........includes picture of the bridal couple and current pictures.
