Mass of Christian Burial for Linus Keller, age 83, of Timber Lake will be at 10 AM MT, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timber Lake. Burial will be in the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be at 6 PM Monday with a prayer service at 7 PM MT at the church. Linus passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Selby Good Samaritan Center.

Linus Marin Keller was the eighth of twelve children born to Peter Valentine and Katherine (Wolf) Keller of Glencross. Linus was born on January 10, 1928 at the family farm at Glencross. He attended grade school in Glencross and Trail City. On November 3, 1949 he married Delila Rose Hoenslaar at Timber Lake. Linus and Delila worked on the farm until 1955 at which time they moved to Bloomfield, MT where Linus worked in the oil fields. In 1958, they moved back to a farm north of Glencross, where they engaged in farming and dairy. Linus and Delila moved to Timber Lake in 1966 and Linus was employed at Timber Lake Motors. Later, he was employed at the Timber Lake school as head custodian and bus driver and retired in 1999 from his full time position after 30 years. Linus was proud of the fact that he logged over 200,000 miles driving bus while employed at the Timber Lake School. Linus and Delila enjoyed Names' Day celebrations when the were popular years back. Linus also enjoyed gardening and getting together with family.

Linus is survived by his wife of 62 years, Delila of Timbre Lake; children, Fran (Jaci) Keller of Pierre, Jerry (Colleen) Keller of Timber Lake, Cheryl (Arlyn) Lawrence of Promise, Sharon (Mark) Hammer of Mobridge; seven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and two brothers, Baldwin Keller of Mobridge and Peter Keller of Trail City. He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Katherine Keller, siblings, Anna, Edmund, Tim, Mary Elizabeth, Frank, Walter, Ervin, Marcella, and Pauline and grandson, Austen. Casketbearers will be grandchildren, Ryan Keller, Kevin Lawrence, Tyson Keller, Doug Lawrence, Jason Lawrence, Kristen Lawrence and Trent Hammer. Honorary bearers are Baldwin Keller, Peter Keller, the Selby Good Samaritan Center Care Givers and Linus's friends and family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holy Cross New Parish Hall Building fund in memory of Linus
