Rose M. Nigro passed away on Jan. 27, 2003. Born on Oct. 1, 1907, in Grimaldi, Italy, to Vincenzo and Maria Pietramala. Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Frank, in 1991; her three daughters, Lorraine Reininger, Virginia Colalancia and Eva Alfonso; daughter-in-law, Virginia Nigro; son-in-law, Leo Alfonso; as well as her grandsons, Kevin Alfonso and John Collette. Rose is survived by her children, Stella Allen, Mike Nigro and JoAnna (Al) Collette; sons-in-law, William Reininger and Silverio Colalancia; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many special friends, as well as her special pet Luigi. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother and had so much goodness and love to offer anyone that she came into contact with. Special gratitude to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice. If you desire, a memorial may be made to them at 1207 Pueblo Boulevard Way, Pueblo, CO 81005. Viewing, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rosary, 7 p.m. Wednesday and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, both services at Our Lady of the Meadows Church with con-celebrants, Rev. Ervin Schmitt and Rev. Edward Pettit. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family in Rose's honor at a reception at Our Lady of the Meadows Church following the burial.
