Mrs John Popp, 74, of Hilbert, died suddenly at Chicago Friday night while visiting a son there.
The former Therese Nadler was born at Marytown, Dec 18, 1883, a daughter of the late Frank and Anne Nadler. She attended school at Kloten and on Nov 25, 1902 married John Popp at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hilbert and of the parish Christian Mothers Society.
Mr Popp preceded her in death Sept 28, 1952.
She is survived by five sons: Frank and Herman of Chicago, Joseph of Hilbert, Carl of Kaukauna and the Rev William Popp, a missionary in Indonesia: a daughter, Mrs Frank (Verona) Henseler of Sheboygan: a brother, Anton Nadler of Kloten: four sisters, Mrs Philip Nett, Sherwood, Wis, Mrs Henry Mueller, New Holstein, Mrs Anne Dietz, Appleton and Mrs Lucy Goell, Sheboygan: 44 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A son, a daughter and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hilbert, at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rt Rev Msgr Martin Jaekels, pastor, will be the celebrant of the Requiem Mass.
Burial will be on the family lot in St. John's Cemetery near Hilbert.
Friends may call at the Kapitzke Funeral Home, Hilbert, after noon Monday.
Vigils will be held there Monday evening by members of St. Mary's parish and the Christian Mothers Society.
