From Kirchenbote, 7 Aug 1947 (original is in German):

George Peppler was born on 10 November 1870 in Old-Hussenbach, Russia. There he was baptized, confirmed, and raised as a Christian. He married Juliana Graff in 1888. Nine children were born to them. One son preceded his father to eternity. In 1907 the family came to America, and landed in North Carolina where they worked for 3 months. In February 1908 they came to Ft. Collins where he farmed in 1920. In these years the family went to Longmont. They stayed until 1936 (?). They they came back to Ft. Collins, where they lived since then. For many years Brother Peppler served his Master and shared joy and sorrow with friends, family, and neighbors. For 2 weeks he suffered from a heart attack. It seemed that he was getting better, but as so often happens, death came and took him softly for himself. He died on Friday morning, the 20th of June. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his 6 sons, George in Gill, Colo., Alexander and Jakob in Longmont, Colo., Heinrich in Mead, Colo., Victor in Longmont, Colo., Edward in Denver, Colo., 2 daughters, Mrs. Jakob Flohr in Gering, Nebr., and Mrs. Fred Schmer in Loveland, Colo, a sister, Dorothy Rosenoff in Ft. Collins, his brother Mark in Racine, Wis., also 35 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; also many friends and acquaintances.
