Herman Peter Gfeller was born October 14,1876 to Adolph and Menga Gfeller in the Alida community.He was confirmed at the Alida St.John' Evangelical Church to which he was lifelong member.In 1900 he married Blanche Roles establishing their home in the Upland(Dickinson Co.)community.After retiring from farming in 1944, they moved to Chapman,KS.Where Mr.Gfeller died February 3,1954 at his home. Junction City, Geary county,Ks. Republic newspaper July 3,1913 P-1 Col.3. lists the death of (Homer) correct spelling of Omar 5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gfeller.
Due to heart affection. He is in unmarked grave, as per cemetery records.
