Memorial services for Mrs. Emma Smith, 66, Salina Rt. 2, will be announced by Stiles Mortuary, Wilson. Mrs. Smith's body will be cremated. The Saline County Sheriff's office said that Mrs. Smith's death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her abdomen. Her body was found early Tuesday morning outside her home.
Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 27, 1911, in Russell County and was a housewife.
Surviving are her husband, Dell W., of the home; two sons, Gene D., Mission; Billy K., Wichita; three brothers, Ernest and Leo Friebus, both of Dorrance, and Melvin Friebus, 1125 E. Ash; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Rumley, Dorrance; Mrs. Violet Stull, 901 Plaza Dr.; and Mrs. Elsie Sebesta, Wilson, and two grandchildren.
