She was born March 14, 1893 in Topeka, the daughter of Peter and Barbara Schoenfield Allendorf, and lived her life in the Topeka area.
Mrs. McCarter was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and Daughter's of Isabella.
Her husband, Paul Edward McCarter, died Nov. 28, 1955.
Many nieces and nephews survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. McCater will lie in state from 8 a.m. today to 9 p.m. Sunday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home, where rosaries will be recited by Daughters of Isabella of Littler Flower Circle 503 at 6:30 p.m. & the parish at 7 pm Sunday
