Olivia S. Blankenship, 71, of Jefferson City, died Saturday at Oak View Living Center. She was born Jan 30, 1925 in Meta, a daughter of John and Mamie Welch Schroeder. She was married Aug 16, 1947 in Jefferson City to Lester Stephens, who died Jan 16, 1959. She was later married Nov 19, 1966 in St. Louis to Kenneth A. Blankenship, who died Nov 23, 1993. A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, she attended school in Meta. She was employed as a dietition at Memorial Community Hospital for 15 years before her retirement in 1989.

Survivors include: two sons, DeWayne Stephens of Jefferson City and Randal Stephens of Columbia; four daughters, Jeanie Holt of Jefferson City, Donna Stephens and Marleen Stephens, both of Columbia and Diane Hagenhoff of Russellville; one sister, Polly Lock of Oklahoma City, OK; and two brothers, Otto Schroeder of Meta and Roy Schroeder of Jefferson City. One son, Billy Stephens, died in 1949. Services will be Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Alvin Lange will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
