Waldorf Man Drops Dead Here Monday Noon
Death struck suddenly in the village Monday a few minutes after 11 o'clock when it took Herman William Fritsche, aged 58, with a heart attack that occurred on the corner of the State bank of New Richland.
Mr. and Mrs. Fritsche were in the village attending to business matters and were not together at the time the former suffered a heart attack, slumped to the street and died. She came to the corner a few minutes later ad seeing her husband, collapsed when she realized he had died there.
A local physician was called but examination did not reveal any heart beats, death having apparently come swiftly.
Mr. Fritsche was born in Faribault county, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fritsche, Sr., February 6, 1894, in Danville township, moving with his parents to Waseca county about a year later.
The Fritsches operated a farm a mile south of Waldorf .
On Dec. 14, 1933 Herman Fritsche and Annie B. Larson were united in marriage at Waldorf. There were no children, but the wife survives.
Two sisters, Mrs. Helmer (Elsie) Christenson, Waldorf; and Mrs. William (Martha) Schumacher, Pine City; and a brother, Albert of Waldorf, survive him.
Mr. Fritsche was a member of the Zoars Evangelical church and funeral services were to be held at that church at 2:00 o'clock following a short service at the home at 1:30. Rev. E. Miller of St. Paul church was in charge of the last rites. Burial was in the Vivian cemetery.
Six Klinger brothers, nephews of the deceased, were the pallbearers, Lorenz and Karlos of Otisco, Eldor of New Richland; and Harold, Wesley and Harlan of Waseca.
