Fred J. Gorte ( Birth name :Johann Frederick Gorte) was a Volga German born in the village of Reinwald. He married Katherine Elisabeth Fischer on 13 February 1890 and they came to the US in 1902. They eventually settled in the City of Saginaw. Their children are Julianna, Millie, Emilie, Frederick,Jr., Pauline,David and John. Julianna Gorte is my paternal grandmother.
