Mr. Jacob Guth died last night at his home about a mile and a half west of this city. He was 86 years of age, and had only been confined to his couch one week from a severe attack of lung fever. Mr. Guth has been a resident of this vicinity for 30 years. He leaves a wife who is now 87 years old and seven children as follows: Jacob, Adam and George Guth and Mrs. J.R. Guth, of this city, John Guth and Mrs. John Stultz, of Denver, Col., who are expected to arrive here this evening, and Mr.s George Isenman, of Germany, mother of George Isenman of this city. Mr. Guth was a highly respected citizen and leaves a large circle of friends who will be pained to hear of his sudden demise. The time of the funeral services at not definitely fixed as yet, but will be made public after the arrival of the son and daughter from Denver, Col.
