Freda, the daughter of John and Johanna (Gerdes) Rodiek, was born November 23, 1902 at Oakland and died August 23, 1993 at the Creighton Care Centre.
She was baptized February 1, 1902 and confirmed March 14, 1918 at Golgotha Lutheran Church in Wausa. She attended rural Wausa school. On October 24, 1923 she married Moritz Dietze at Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton. They were the parents of twins, Lester and Esther, born July 14, 1924. Freda and Moritz celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1973. They farmed near Wausa and Creighton until retiring to Creighton.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid group and was active in Bible activities. She cooked for the Creighton Chamber of Commerce and Creighton school lunch program for many years.
Survivors include a son, Lester of Creighton, son-in-law, Leonard Wagner of Norfolk, five grandchildren, John, Mike, Dan, Frank and Susan; eleven great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Dora Diedricksen of Creighton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Esther Wagner; three sisters, Lucille Hitz, Alma Rodiek and Emma Iauch and a brother, Elmer Rodiek.
