Funeral services for Mr. Joe M. Bond of the Steep Hollow Community, were scheduled for 4 p.m. today at Callaway-Jones Funeral Chapel with burial at Steep Hollow Cemetery. The Rev. Bo Kelly, pastor of Steep Hollow Baptist Church was to officiate.
Mr Bond, 88, died Saturday night in a Pasadena hospital. A retired dairyman, he had lived all his life in Brazos County. He was born Oct. 8, 1888, and was a member of the Steep Hollow Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Bond of Steep Hollow; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Carroll of Pasadena and Mrs. J. H. (Jonell) Hendricks, of Pasadena; four sisters, Mrs. Esker Martin, Mrs. Will Murray and Mrs. Jack Jones, all of Bryan, and Mrs. Frank Richey of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
