Nadine L. Lampe, 80, of Falls City, NE, passed away November 2, 2013 at Falls City. She was born February 16, 1933 at Table Rock, NE to the late Paul and Louise (Gossman) Moritz.
On May 22, 1952 she married Sterling Lampe at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Auburn, NE.
Nadine was raised on a farm northeast of Humboldt, NE and attended porter Center and Cottage rural schools and attended Stella and Bratton Union High Schools, graduating in 1950. Following graduation she became employed as a telephone operator at the telephone office in Auburn. Following their marriage the couple lived in Alameda and National City, CA for a time while her husband was serving the in the U. S. Navy. After his discharge they lived on a farm a mile north of Bratton Union Consolidated High School. In 1958 they moved into Auburn. In 1964 they moved to Falls City and she worked as a cook at Nixon's Grill until the late 1960's. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th & Towle) and Miriam-Esther Circle of her church.
Nadine is survived by her husband, Sterling of Falls City, daughters, Phyllis Dodson and her husband Jody of Bigelow, MO, Brenda Schwartz and her husband David of Meriden , KS, son, Roger of Falls City, grandchildren, Sean Bryan of Kansas City, MO, Nikki Poppa of Mound City, MO, Kevin Dodson of Maryville, MO, Jacob & Olivia Schwartz of Meriden, KS, step-granddaughters, Robyn Robinson of Lincoln, NE, Catie Ludwig of Woodbine, IA, four great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Wayne Moritz, sisters, Dorothy Arnold, Betty Glathar and a step-granddaughter, Andi Dodson Nowling.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th & Towle) with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
The family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for a later designation.
