Funeral services for John J Lesser, 76, a former Greeley resident, were held Tuesday, June 4, in Miles City, Mont. Military interment was in the Veterans section of the Custer County Cemetery.
Lesser, a long-time employe of Northern Pacific Railroad, died Thursday, May 30, at his home. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Russia, Oct 8, 1897, and came to the United States as a young man. He entered the U.S. Army in 1942 In Butte, Mont., and was discharged in 1943.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
