Daryl Robert Kersten, 53, of 8830 W. Stuart Road, Orfordville, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 1996.
He was born Dec. 18, 1942, in Janesville, the son of Leonard and Bernice (Buehl) Kersten. He married Valerie Jean Kerl on Nov. 11, 1967; she also died on Sunday, Sept. 15, 1996. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Orfordville, and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include four children: Robert (Jodi) Kersten, Brenda Kersten, Michelle Kersten and Troy Kersten, all of Orfordville; two grandsons, Dylan and Trevor Kersten of Orfordville; his father, Leonard Kersten of Orfordville; five brothers and sisters: Sharon (Gordon) Hensley of Milton, Gary (Connie) Kersten of New Ulm, Minn.; Darlene (Louie) Rosenow of Milton, Marcella (Richard) Rosenow of Poynette, and Lorie (Bill) Rosenow of Palmyra.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 19, 1996, at St. John Lutheran Church, Orfordville. Rev. Jeff Wild will officiate. Interment will be in Plymouth Cemetery.
