Mrs. D. Muilenburg

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Trinity Ref. church for Mrs. Dick Muilenburg, 61, who died at her home Monday evening, Aug. 27 after a long illness.

Reka Visser Muilenburg was born in Clara City, Minn., Oct. 13, 1894, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Visser. In 1909 she moved with her family to Orange City where she attended Northwestern Academy. Upon graduation she taught in the local Christian school, and later in a rural school.

She was married to Dick G. Muilenburg on Jan. 17, 1918. They were the parents of three children: Ivan and Lena, Mrs. Allen Roos, and Marcine, Mrs. Keith De Jong.

Other survivors include her six grandchildren, and three sisters: Mrs. Wm. Kalsbeek of Orange City, Mrs. Jennie Harms and Mrs. Anna Duitsman of Clara City, Minn.

A brother , Arthur Visser of Grand Rapids, Mich., and her parents preceded her in death. Six nephews were pallbearers at the funeral service. Rev. C. Boonstra officiated.
