Mrs. Walter (Patricia M.) Sievert, age 73, of 4102 Rock St., Manitowoc, died in the LORD Friday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2006, at the UW Hospital, Madison.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at the First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1033 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, with the Rev. Steven Hahm officiating.
Patricia was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Manitowoc, the daughter of the late Rene E. and Viola Marquardt Schwalbe. She was received into the Lord's kingdom through the rite of baptism on Dec. 25, 1932, later confessing her faith in the rite of confirmation on March 21, 1948 , both at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. She was a 1951 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. After graduation, she was employed at First National Bank of Manitowoc. She later worked for The Eye Clinic of Manitowoc for 36 years, retiring in 1998.
Patricia was married to Walter H. Sievert on Aug. 8, 1953, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church. This marriage was blessed with four children. She is survived by her husband: Walter, Manitowoc; her four children and their spouses: Dr. Michael (Michelle) Sievert, Albuquerque, N.M.; Timothy (Patricia) Sievert, Kenosha; Greg (Mary) Sievert, Manitowoc; Suzanne (Craig) Schafer, Wausau. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren: Benjamin and Samuel Sievert, Albuquerque, N.M.; Samantha, Christina and Michael Seivert, Kenoha; Amanda and Elizabeth Sievert, Manitowoc; Ryan Schafer, Charlotte, N.C.; Matthew, Nicholas and CJ Schafer, Wausau; two brothers-in-law and their spouses: Arthur (Mabel) Sievert, Bismarck, N.D.; Richard (Beverly) Sievert, Sioux Falls, S.D.; two sisters-in-law: Lucille Sievert, Ponca City, Okla.; Kathleen Schwalbe, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: Rene W. Schwalbe; and her nephew: Jeffrey Schwalbe.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 1122 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Memorials would be appreciated for the Manitowoc Lutheran High School Tuition Assistance Fund, 4045 Lancer Circle, Manitowoc, WI 54220.
