Weddings of a Week
Pierce – Morris
Summary
On Wednesday, March 9, 1898, County Judge Woolf united Mr. Edward Pierce and Miss Virginia Love Morris in holly bonds of matrimony.
The wedding was at the home of the bride's parents, four miles east of Orlando. 150 invited guests were served supper. Dancing after the supper continued until early morning hours.
The bride is one of the finest young women in Deuel County, being talented and accomplished to an admirable degree. The groom is well known as a promising stockman throughout this and adjoining counties. Mr. and Mrs. Pierce will reside on his sheep ranch, west of Hartman.
In extending our heartiest congratulations to them, as many friends have, we deeply regret that distance prevented us for attending.
