Whenever we visited my Great Grandmother In Belleville, I would walk down to visit him in his shack. Grandma Rensing would ask where I had been, I told her to see Uncle Jake, she would lose it and told me to stay away from him, he was a bum. He did like his drink now and then and was once arrested for vagrancy and pilfering and spent 6 months in jail. I still liked him he talked with me like I was much older. His sister loved him dearly and always looked out for him, but he lived in the furnace room in her home where he slept and ate his meals.
