Josephine Ester Fischer Sullivan, age 100, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in the Union Hospital. Born March 20, 1909 in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Florien Fischer and Anna Martha (Nicoloai) Fischer. She married William Alexander Sullivan and he preceded her. Josephine was a housekeeper. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed Bingo scratch off cards.
Survivors include 2 children, Jerry James Sullivan and wife Patricia, Delaware, and Maureen Ann Grider and husband Robert L., Terre Haute; grandchildren, John Sullivan and wife Danette, VA, Debbie Roberts and husband David, Indianapolis, Mike Sullivan and wife Helen, San Diego, Jerri Laubert and husband Brent, Terre Haute, Robert J. Grider, Terre Haute, John Grider and wife Amy, Martinsville, IN, Kelly Carver, NC, Maureen Sullivan, NC, and Diane York and husband John, VA; 18 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren, and a sister Margaret Allard, FL. Her parents, husband, son John Richard "Jack" Sullivan, daughter-in-law Winifred "Winnie" Sullivan, and sister Florine Holmes preceded her.
