Elsie worked for about 40 years as nurse and receptionist for Dr. Sucgang, eye-ear-nose and throat specialist in Alliance. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards with her sisters, nieces, nephews, and anyone else interested. After her father's death her mother Emma lived with her at 1024 Potash in Alliance. For many years she made an annual pilgrimage to central and eastern Nebraska to visit her sisters and their families.
