Ethel Reiling Lampe Morrow Faylor was born May 11, 1925, near Mount Caramel, Iowa to Emma (Reiff) and W. J. Reiling. Ethel graduated from the Fonda High School in Fonda, Iowa in 1943. She attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught in a country school. Ethel married Eugene Lampe in 1945. They were blessed with eight children. In the mid 70's she taught school in Kiron, Deloit and Denison, while finishing her education at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. In 1976 Ethel married Francis Morrow. With this marriage she gained four more children. The couple enjoyed traveling and growing old together. Francis died in 2002. In 2006, she married Dean Faylor and gained four more children. Ethel and Dean had a lot of fun in their short time together.

Ethel enjoyed riding horses, golfing, reading, traveling, teaching, swimming, oil painting, quilting, working with roses, embroidery and the Red Hats. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Ethel died May 5, 2011, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunlap, Iowa at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 25 days.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Francis and Dean; two brothers, Al and Harold Reiling; sister, Cele McKiernan and granddaughter, Rachel Lampe. Survivors include her eight plus one children, Sheryl & Arnie Boysen of Brayton, IA, Terry & Jan Lampe of Sac City, IA, Cindi & Dennis Ohl of Dow City, IA, Doug & Lesli Lampe of Underwood, WA, Pat & Vickie Lampe of Dunlap, IA, Luann & Ward Ryon of St. Joseph, MO, Kim & Buck Hoffmeier of Charter Oak, IA, Tami Coenen & fiancé Steve Short of West Des Moines, IA, Mary Garnas of Omaha, NE; her other children, Trish Morrow of Omaha, NE, Margaret & Lanny Olson of Elk Horn, IA, Kathy & Dennis Edmonds of Denver, CO, Tim & Linda Faylor of Magnolia, IA, Jim Faylor of Omaha, NE, Mary & Rick Fulton of Omaha, NE, Annie & Rick Turone of Omaha, NE; brother, Ralph & Carolyn Reiling of Rembrandt, IA, sister, Mickey & Rick Dixson of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Gwen Reiling of Fonda, IA; 36 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; 10 step grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

To make this short and sweet, here's our story: 8 is enough, plus another 4 made us the "Dirty Dozen," we added another 4 and ended up the "Sweet Sixteen."
