The Kingsley News-Times, 9 October 1952, page 1: Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside and at 2:30 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church at Rock Branch for August F. Riemenschneider, former resident of this community who died last Sunday at his home in Sioux City after a brief illness. Rev. Richard Kamper officiated and burial was in the Rock Branch Cemetery. Mr. Riemenschneider was born January 29, 1882, at State Center, Iowa. He moved to Kingsley in 1904 and married Emma Bauer March 16, 1905, at Pierson. They resided on a farm southeast of Kingsley until 1942 when they moved to Sioux City. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church at Rock Branch. Survivors are two sons, Emery of Pierson and Ralph of Kingsley, and 3 daughters, Mrs. Leona Pottorff of Sioux City, Mrs. Therese Meissner of Pierson and Mrs. Irene Schmidt of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, three brothers, Lew F. of Wahpeton, North Dakota, Melt of Marshalltown and Alex of Moville, a sister, Mrs. Lena Scheper of State Center, 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
