The Correctionville News, 12 February 1959, page 1: Emery E. Riemenschneider, 48, well known farmer, passed away Thursday, February 5, 1959, in a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Sioux Center, January 26, 1959. Emery was born February 25, 1910, at Kingsley and was a lifelong resident of the Pierson-Kingsley vicinity. He attended Pierson public school. He married Anna Paulsen of Bronson August 30, 1934. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, secretary of the Hampshire Breeders Association, a member of the Hereford Association, board member of the Woodbury Co. Fair Association, the Pierson Coop Elevator and a member of the Farm Bureau. He is survived by his widow, four sons, Dean serving with the Army at Ft. Chaffee, Arkansas, Richard, Larry and Alan, all at home, his mother, Mrs. August Riemenschneider of Sioux City, a brother, Ralph of Kingsley and three sisters, Mrs. Leone Pottorff and Mrs. Therese Meissner both of Sioux City and Mrs. Irene Schmidt of Marathon. Services were held on Saturday, February 7, at the Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. W.C. Volkmann officiating. Burial was in the Rock Branch Cemetery.
