WARSAW - Marcella C. Yohler, 94, died Sunday. She was born in Effingham, Illinois to the late George and Anna (Overbeck) Westendorf. She married William Yohler May 28, 1938. He preceded her on March 19, 1969.

She retired from the Marion VA Medical Center, where she had worked for 12 years. She was an active member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, where she served in the Rosary Altar Society, the Study Club, and had been part of the Bennett School PTA. Recently, she attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw. She also had served as a Boy Scout Leader. Survivors include daughter, Suzanne (Jack) Shaw, Warsaw; sons, Michael Yohler, Scottsdale, Ariz., John Yohler, Indianapolis, Stephen (Barbara) Yohler, Verona, Penn.; nieces and nephews, Tom (Rosetta) Beck, Marion, Marilyn Miles, Indianapolis, Larry Westendorf, LaFontaine, Marianna Scott, Newton, Ill., Norma Jean (Deke) Huddleston, West Liberty, Ill., Michaelene (Hank) Woronka, Gary, Gretchen (Robert) Bernardi, Ill., Richard Hallett, Monticello; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her five brothers; and three sisters. Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in St. Paul Catholic Church, Marion with Rev. Richard Weisenberger officiating. Burial was in Estates of Serenity, Marion. Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Marion, Indiana handled the arrangements.
