GLENN WESTEND0RF DROWNED SUNDAY

According to word received here by relatives, Glenn Westendorf of Gary, Indiana, was drowned about 8:00 o'clock Sunday evening at Cedar Lake near Crown Point, Center, Lake, Indiana, USA, when a wave swept him off a boat in which several persons were riding, none of whom were thrown in the water. Glenn was well known here, having been born and raised on a farm three miles northeast of Dieterich, He was forty years old. Up to noon Tuesday the body had not been recovered.

He leaves his wife, Elsie; his parents, Mr and Mrs George Westendorf of Marion, Grant, Indiana, USA; four brothers, Walter of Gary, Ind., Arthur of Newton; Cyril and Eli of Marion, Grant, Indiana, USA; four sisters, Mrs Viola Hailett of Gary, Ind., Mrs Ethel Beck, Mrs Marcella Yoler and Miss Helen Westendorf of Marion, Grant, Indiana, USA., and many relatives in this vicinity.

Mrs Anna Dust, Mrs Barney Pruemer Mrs Harry Engelman, Ben and Ferd Overbeck of this vicinity are aunts and uncles of the deceased. Glenn's mother was the former Anna Overbeck of Teutopolis.
