Henry was the second child of Henry Kahler and Margaret Kern (both born Russia, German descent). He came to the US with his family about 1906-1907. He lived in Nebraska and Wyoming before his family settled in Denver, Colorado. He married Mollie Green on Oct.16,1921 in Denver. Between 1923 and 1945 they had 12 children: Mildred, Helen, Earl, Ileen, Walter, Harold, Leroy, Ken, Shirley, Harvey, Phyllis and Richard. He passed away at the age of 64 in Denver.
